Gonna replace Med Res monitor with 21" Sony VGA. BNC OK?

My medium res 20" monitor in my APB has a lot of burn in. I was going to do the VGA monitor swap: http://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=630.0

My question, can I use the BNC connectors on the back to hook up to the video board or should I just go with a CGA to VGA converter?

First pic is the back of my Sony 21" CRT VGA monitor.

Second pic is what someone else did - What I'm trying to accomplish.

Attached photo is what I'm working with...If someone is interested in it...

If you happen to have some BNC males laying around, it's worth a shot.

On a side note, 320x240@60Hz (common in circa 1990 DOS games) has a hsync of only ~15.4kHz. If the monitor is old enough to still support old DOS resolutions, it may take a med res (or even standard!) signal straight up the HD15, as long as you can part out the H/V sync signals (i.e. 5-pin monitor connection, no composite sync or SoG).

This should be useful:

(Note: Very few computer monitors actually support composite sync. Also, the "Mon ID" lines are used for EDID, a technology to let the monitor tell the computer what it's capable of -- for this, leave them NC, it'll assume it's talking to an "old" computer that doesn't do EDID.)
