So there's a Golden Tee in the area that I am thinking about picking up. For those of you that own one I've got a few questions. The game in question is a 2000 version. Is this easily upgraded to another/newer version? What is needed for an updgrade? Anything that I should look for when inspecting the game? Any help you can provide would be great.

Thanks

pretty sure Golden Tee 2K is just a JAMMA PCB and was the game right before FORE! came out. Fore! rocks. If you get it you're gonna want to upgrade to a Golden Tee Fore! Complete which has all 29 Fore! courses. It's essentially a PCB with a hard drive. I am not sure if the connections are the same but I suspect they are.

not really

You would have a ton of work to upgrade. To upgrade to the new version would be a monitor swap (you can use standard res but wouldn't be happy)and add new cpo because fore uses alot more buttons. However 2000 is a really fun game. I have both and admit fore is way better but enjoy both.

I once bought a 2000 in a Fore cabinet. I changed it back to a 2005 Fore. Things you will need.

2 more buttons. You can drill holes....or buy a Fore control panel.

Fore! has two variants. Red board, green board. Red board uses a "computer" type power supply, green board gets power from the JAMMA conenctor. "Fore" uses a hard drive.

It's not a 10 minute swap from 2000 to FORE, but it's not rocket science, either.
