Just bought a dedicated 2005 gt that I actually sold 3 yrs ago to the same guy. He supposedly had monitor issues and had it rebuilt. The picture is now upside down and no the monitor is not mounted upside down. Other than turning the monitor upside down...lol...is there an easy fix to a prob bad monitor job

Flip the Yoke wires. (only 1 set) flip the Yellow Green set power back up and see if it is right, if not, power off, put them back the way they were, then flip the Blue Red then power up again. One of those will fix it.

see if their is two yoke plug connections on chassis. one is for invert and other not.
if not and yoke plug is broken in half, then turn vert. plug portion around. so what ever color wire is on left will be on right and vice versa.

I can Honestly never remember what pair does what. I always end up making it upside down and backwards before I get it right.....

usually for most monitors. except early electrohome and wells gardner 4600 raster scan's , most yoke wires are 4 pin plugs now. The two wire closer to each other on one side are the vertical output. The other half of plug the wires are just a little more apart then the other side so you cannot mix up and put them on vertical side pins.
Always check and measure with meter. vertical will measure from few ohms to 8 ohms.
horizontal will measure from .06 to a couple ohms depending on monitors.
usually the horizontal wires are a thicker gauge then vertical wires also. usually.

just like carpentry, measure twice, blow up monitor once.

yes, even i sometimes have to move the yoke wires around because i did not really look the first time to see if horizontal is flipped,etc....

I will check out those wires thanks. Also the colors are all leaning towards red and purples. The greens and blues are not very vibrant. Adjusted brightness and contrast but picture still not very nice

Pic still looks too reddish. The white screen on the test mode is pinkish. Maybe that's normal?
