So I have a GT Live (original version) with a D915GUX motherboard that is toast. The caps are all okay and the LED still comes on but I can't get it to turn on at all. The processor and RAM test fine in another machine.

Does anyone know the best way to get the GT Live to boot on another motherboard? I can get it to start and pass all of the self tests on a Dell GX280 that has an Intel 915 motherboard but when it gets to loading game it errors something about operator ID and then resets. I thought the operator ID was something wrong with my CID or io boards but I can move everything over to another machine and it works fine so it is the motherboard causing the issue.

I would love to get this to run on a GX280 because I can get them for free or next to nothing. Do I just need to move the BIOS chip from the GT to the Dell and it should run?

Alternatively there is a guy on Ebay with NOS D915GUXL motherboards for sale which are should work. Will I still need to move the BIOS chip?

Since I have never done this, does anyone know which chip the BIOS is?
