@bigdenny @toplessz
I have a gtl16 with a asus430 video card outputting at 720p via hdmi cable.
I'm a fussy bastard though and sourced a Zotac gtx 750ti as specced by it for video cards so that I can get a full 1080 HD experience.
So I've done the swap over and all is fine until it reaches the last screen before game loads.
Comes up with a message saying
Xorg cannot initialize video card: unknown
Then goes into reboot and constantly arrives at the same location.
I've contacted it about this and they seem to think it's odd as the drivers should be there and that it should recognize the video card and so on.
My software version is 11.04.09 so everything on my end supposedly checks out OK.
During the boot up ( 1st time after removing the Asus430) it does have a line that reads somethin like video card changed checking, configuring.
But that's it..... No 1080 for me.
It also says during boot up Nvidia driver: nvidia -linux-x86-319.23-tar.gz
Lm sensor: w83627ehf.
No matter if I'm using the Asus 430 or the Zotac 750ti the same Lm sensor number appears. I even removed the video card and went direct from the onboard video and same message/end result.
I'm taking a wild guess and assuming that the necessary drivers for the Zotac 750 aren't there or hidden from sight somehow. I even went to the Zotac website to download the drivers to USB stick and tried to boot the game with the usb stick and still nothing.
Is there something I'm missing?
Is there a way to install the Zotac 750 drivers onto the system?
I tried going into a command line by pressing control all and capital T (apparently this is how to get a command linenfor Linux based stuff) but that doesn't work either.
Also, even if I upgrade to 2017 (which Im also hoping to do soon) the problem will most likely carry over.
Dammit all I want is to see it in 1080 HD. Lol.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my post.
