Do you guys think it would be possible to convert a Golden Tee (2000? 2003?) to a Haunted Castle Cab? Say if I was willing to drill new button holes and get a joystick would the wiring work with a few splices?

Sorry I'm a total newb to all this never converted a machine and don't know how hard it would be. I'm very confident I could solder some wires to get Joystick and the button working just not sure if I'd need different plugs and what not to convert the jamma connector and all that stuff seeing that the years are so different and also if the Marquee would fit.

I saw one for sale today for $500.00 said it needed a new hard drive but I'm only interested in the Cab. I'd try talking em down of course.

Just weighing my option not saying I'm gonna go buy the machine now.

If you just want a cabinet, you can get one much cheaper than $500 and one that fits what you want to do much better, making for much less work. Hold out and ask on here, I would bet someone on here in your neighborhood as a JAMMA cabinet that they would sell you for cheap.

As far as collecting goes, Golden Tee's are good for one thing. Score one cheap, then sell it for much more so that you can spend your money on a much cooler game!

Well I purchased the Haunted Castle board that ended on ebay today. Any suggestions for a good cab for it? Something that would be the most likely conversion for this game. A few suggestion would be good cause who knows what I'll find locally.

I have a perfect cab for you.. Only 50 bucks and it's already has one joystick and 2 buttons. I'll leave the working monitor in it for an extra 50.00 for a total of 100 bucks.. You can't beat 100 bucks for a cabinet allready layed out and with a working 19" monitor. You would need to supply a few things to get your haunted castle working.. Power supply, Isolation Transformer for the monitor, and a Jamma harness. I actually have a new Isolation Transformer I could toss in as well. I also have an old Jamma cable that you can have. It may work it may not. not sure. I'm out of power supplies though. Huntington is only about an hour and 30 minutes east of me btw. Been there many times. Look up Peebles OH 45660. Let me know if you're interested.

It used to be a Magic worm converted to a Sly Spy. Its very solid and no damage at all. The backdoor is there, just not on in the pic. I started doing paint removal to uncover the art. Only did one side. Slap a coat of paint back over it and it would be fine. Bring your board, power supply, and jamma harness and I'll help you install your game. Would go in pretty easily.

Awesome very interested, hour and half isn't a bad drive. I'll have to get the board and clear out a space for the cab.

Just shoot me a pm when you're ready and I'll get the details to you. I'll try to get some more cab pics for you as well but I can assure you that it's pretty much the perfect cab for what you are doing. Nothing needs done except for a little paint.

Does it have the two buttons and player 1 player 2? Or just two buttons? Where would be the best place to order Jamma Harness and Power Supply?

It has one joystick in the middle and two buttons to the right, I can't remember but it might have two to the left as well. very similar to this: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8089

I didn't think to get any pics over the weekend. sorry about that.. i'll try to get some tonight. As for ordering parts there are tons of places to order a jamma cable from and a standard switching power supply.
