So the Golden Tee Complete board showed up today....
Small problem, I sent them a red board GT 2003. I got back a green board.
I havent tried hooking it up yet as both of my GT cabs have red board power supplies, but I will get around to it in a few.... I am just a little more than disappointed.
I know it isn't a huge deal, but I almost feel like I got scammed. I sent a red board, expecting it to be "upgraded" as advertised. Instead my board apparently got "swapped"?
***UPDATE*** Greg from Captain Pinball has responded and promised to get to the bottom of it ASAP. It sounds like they made a mistake and sent me the wrong board back.
I will keep you updated.

Strange. I would call and ask what the deal is.
That is one thing I was leary of. If I sent a red board...I want a red board back.

Hopefully that's it. From emails, he sounds like a really good guy. Hope it all works out, and that the Complete deal he offers is as good as it sounds.

So I just got off the phone with Greg - He is a stand up guy!
He basically told me the technician made a mistake and he knows who got my red board, but rather than wait for the other customer, he is sending me one of his personal red boards back immediately.
As far as I am concerned, if the board comes when he says it will, I give them a big time stamp of approval.

No I didnt have a green board PS installed, and didnt want to risk the "you fried it" situation if I wasnt keeping the board. By never having plugged it in and turned it on, I dont put myself at risk.
Without explaining the whole transaction, I am keeping this green board as well as getting the red board back, so I will hook it up tonight and let you guys know.
Good to know. Whether Greg cracked the encryption or not, at least he is offering a good service at a fair price and it is legit.

The jury is still out on this, he has failed to live up to his own commitments so far. The red board was supposed to be on its way to me as of yesterday and still has not been mailed....

This sucks. I'm holding out hope...
I have a history of always being the one with the problems, so I may not have been the best guinea pig.... He claims his technician made another mistake by not mailing it out - I am still giving him the benefit of the doubt.

He told me they had quite a response and I told him that I would wait for a bit. He probably just wasn't prepared for the response he got and things haven't gone smoothly. It may not be on the schedule quoted, but he'll get your situation fixed.
