Can you plug directly from video card to vga input on monitor? Or do you *have* to plug into the pcb and video out goes through the jamma harness?

You cannot plug a monitor into the VGA port on the video card.
The board is only designed to output CGA & EGA video which must go through the main PCB.

That is not true.

I own two 2005 Fore games and I plugged monitors in both of them to the video card...the video card is a 3dfx voodoo graphics card...from back in the day..used to use those same cards when we built old gaming pc's...

Right now, i have a Wells Gardner LCD that I got off Twisted Quarter and its going direct to the video card.

You can connect directly to the VGA port of the video card, but golden tee will NOT output a VGA signal. The little "jumper" that connects the video card to the board is strictly a pass through to put the video signal into the JAMMA harness and has nothing to do with converting the signal up or down to any given resolution. Most WG LCDs are tri-sync or at minimum CGA/VGA so that may work that way. I've also found a lot of the older Vizio TVs will take an EGA signal in on that VGA port and still display it.

The 3Dfx cards are *capable* of VGA out, but the software IT Games wrote does not provide an OPTION to output at VGA.

Stop spouting info if you do not know for sure.

Your arcade LCD monitor probably does CGA and/or EGA.
You cannot get straight VGA from the video card.
