I have a GT Fore '04 that was keeping the correct date and time. I turned it on this weekend and it thinks it's 1972 and all the location information is gone.
It's not a huge deal since the game plays OK, but all the records that get set from now on will say 1972 instead of the correct date.

Also, my LED header is just scrolling the test message and software version and is not recognized when tested in the test menu. I've never had it hooked up before, do they take a special cord? I thought it was just a regular phone cord.

Thanks

Swapped the 04 board & hd out with an 05, and the LED sign was working fine. I guess the issue on the 04 board might be the timekeeper Ram. I'm not sure if that would keep the LED sign from working.

I would replace your Timekeeper Snaphat battery/crystal. About $4 at Mouser and should fix your issue.

So, when you replace the timekeeper, wouldn't the date still be wrong? I didn't see anywhere in the menu to set the date, so I assumed it picked up the date from the now obsolete IT servers.

Ah darn, looks like you may be right. According to the manual it looks like the ITS server sets the local date and time and other info via modem.
