Golden Tee Fore (2005) arcade PSU -> ATX conversion
I was given a particularly interesting project to help out a friend (who in turn helped me) and I hope I'm able to explain this well enough cause I don't know the first thing about these Golden Tees or Silver Strikes or Bags or whatever.
putting this in perspective, they have a Bags machine that I gather uses a regular JAMMA-esque arcade PSU with a 9 pin connector. the Golden Tee board they were running before that used the same kind of power connector harness wound up dying, and all they have left that works are a pair of GT Fore 2004/2005 boards, but those take ATX power supplies. they wish to use these Golden Tees in the Bags cab.
I happen to have had a dead ATX power supply that I had the 20 pin power connector lopped off, and was wondering is it as simple as running the +5, Ground and +12 wiring from the 9 pin connector on the arcade PSU to this 20 pin ATX plug to power this game with?
if it's not doable for whatever reason, please let me know, and I'll have to coerce the lad into taking one of my extra ATX PSUs and using it instead. I figure he has to swap the JAMMA connector every time he wants to play it anyway... right?
