Greetings GT Gurus.
I'd like to know how to change the location on a Golden Tee Complete that is not online or registered.

I've upgraded our GT2K with a GT Fore v. 6.00.00 pcb and see that it shows all the "new" leaderboard players to hail from Pasedena, MD.

I see that there's a a place under Current Registration to change the City, State, Zip, etc. values but they're blank and I when I try to select one to alter, it says "Invalid Choice! This game is not registered." even though it plays all 29 courses without issue.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I wanna say that you cant.In order for you to change locations you have to be online to go through the registry and since you cant go online with it there is no way to change anything about the location.I could be wrong though

Short answer... You can't. The location data can only be set by calling in to IT with a registered machine.

That being said, If anyone can figure out how to hack the info and change location, I know of several people who would be willing to pay for the service.

Thanks guys. I was hoping for there was a trick I was missing....

So was Pasadena where this was last registered or does everyone's machine revert back to MD?

Not sure about that....but I cant help but wonder if some of my scores were on there!

There are quite a few three-letter duffers immortalized on my newest addition to the arcade. Tell me your initials and I'll see if I can get a snapshot to send your way.

I looked into the same issue. My board says I'm in CT.
Was kind of hoping someone would make a program to spoof the server that'd let you update stuff like the location and the LED messages.

What's interesting is that when I had my GoldenTee Fore 2005 PCB it said that the location was "Cypress Restaurant" which is in Hartford, CT. It displays this on the setup menu and on the LED display on top of the cabinet.

So, I then bought a new GoldenTee Complete PCB. In the setup menu it doesn't list a location. However, it still says "Cypress Restaurant" on my LED display topper. I don't get it!

Since I have owned my game, I feel like I need to go here to see where my Goldentee once lived. :)

The LED sign has a little board in it. When it would call in at night, IT would tell the game certain things to display the next day or whatever, I think the led sign stored different seperate information than the pcb did. If you look at the pcb, I think the led sign plugs in with a phone cable, but there's not much chippage on the pcb dedicated to the sign. So the reason your sign still says cypress grill even though you switched the board is the info's saved on the pcb on the back of the sign.
