Golden Tee Complete and Silver Strike Combo Cab with the Perfect Solution Kit! VIDEO!

I loooooooooove Golden Tee. I LOVE IT! Recently I added the Perfect Solution switcher kit with Silver Strike Bowling and it freaking rocks! My wife LOVES it. Silver Strike has been a huge hit in this house since I added it and having both games in one cab makes it that much better!

Anyways, I put up a video of the combo cab here:

Huge thanks to MilitiaMan for hooking me up with the Perfect Solution kit at a great price. HE ROCKS!

Very cool, I've been trying to find a SSB machine. Played it once, and just wanted it since. Nice to see both games in one cab being so versatile for everyone to play.

Surprisingly they don't have a Golden Tee cab at the local bar/golf course. I wouldn't mind tracking one of those down either to see if the owner would let me place it in there.

I love your videos, John. Unfortunately, I am catching this thread at work today and Youtube is blocked here. I'll catch it later.

SSB definitely kicks ass, though ... we had some people over Saturday night for a Tropical Storm Beryl party and we had 7 people all playing SSB at the same time. What a great party game!

The highlight of the evening is when I used the letters ASS as my bowler's name ...

With the GT complete kit does it reprogram the LED marquee?

You know, it's funny....

Originally I had a Golden Tee Fore 2005 board and hard drive and the display said it was Fore 2005 and that the bar was Cypress Gardens or something in Connecticut. I upgraded to Complete by changing the main PCB and hard drive and the display didn't change at all. It still said the same thing it said when 2005 was there. But, that hard drive DIED. So, I bought a replacement drive from some op on Ebay. When I put that hard drive in, the display changed to say COMPLETE and the bar changed to one in Indiana. So, I have no idea what's going on!

my SSB got loads of plays this weekend, just wish I could find the perfect solution kit at a decent price :( great looking game room in the vid!!!

That is awesome.

I can't help but thinking that with the game switch buttons right there by the game controls, it would be easy to accidentally switch games. Have you ever had an issue with someone switching you out of a game by mistake? I can just see having my best game going and then my kids switch it on me.

Never. They are in a spot where your hand rarely goes. And, if it switches the game is still running in the background. It doesn't reset the game when you switch.

Both games are running simultaneously in the cabinet whenever it is powered on, so pressing the button to switch the game from one to the other would be nothing more than a minor inconvenience. You would not lose your game.

Finally got a chance to watch the video ...

I was interested to see how you worked everything into the cabinet and it looks like you put everything in the exact same place that I did (except I did not mount the switching buttons on top of the control panel).

As always, great video and spot on review of two great games.

Thanks for the not one, but two shout-outs in the video. :)

Glad you are happy with it. This combo is a keeper for sure in my collection.

Thanks, Militia. I was very grateful to get the kit from you. Thanks again! I always wanted to put Silver Strike in my cab but the price was a killer.

Where did you put your buttons? I thought long and hard about placement and basically got the smaller light up buttons and attempted to emulate the button placement that the LIVE cabinets have (they have two additional buttons at that location same as I did). I used a step drill bit to go through the plexi. Worked great.
