Golden Tee Combo Cabinets....Anyone done this successfully?

I am looking to put a golden tee complete into a silver strike cabinet. I know there are switchers out there but I am looking to get more information. Some of the switchers I have seen are upwards of $500. Has anyone successfully done this? How did you work the power supplies?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Do you mean kits? You want to change one game to another with all the artwork, controls, etc or just the board?

Both games use JAMMA connectors are are easily interchangeable as far as I know. Download the PDFs of each game and you will see how similar they are.

I want to have the cabinet play both games, and switch back and forth with a button press. I think there is a jamma switcher that can do this.....?

yes

I think it's at jammaboards.com or mikesarcade.com

OR you could just take the JAMMA harness and plug it into the board in about 5 seconds. :)

I was going to do this with Golden Tee and SSB. I think you need Mike's 2-in-1 pcb switch and a Y-splitter for the trackball wiring.

yea im saying after spending like 100 in parts, is it that much of a hassle to just swap it in and out? Does the cabinet need to be moved from the wall or is there a door/drawer in the front?

Golden Tee cabinets have a drawer that pulls out from the front--it's easy to swap boards occasionally, so I wouldn't think it's worth the money.

That may depend on the version. Mine's a GT'97 and is only accessible from the rear.

There is a decent amount of room on the drawer that the control panel is mounted too. You can probably squeeze the Golden Tee board on there. If not mount it on the wall in the back of the game. I don't have any personal experience with any Jamma switchers but it doesn't sound too tough to do.

I stopped at a rest area on the Mass Pike last week and they had a GoldenTee Complete with Silver Strike Bowling in the same cabinet. They had light up buttons on the Control Panel that you pushed to swap from game to game. It was very slick. Do want!

The op that had it out there was Action Jackson amusements. Would love to call them and find out about this kit.
