golden tee 2005 problems, game won't load, look at these pics

I know little about these, except I can plug them in and I do like playing them.

I pulled my working 2003 and put in a 2005 hard drive and pcb.

It would never load up. So I pull them and put my old 2003 back in the game and it works fine again.

Look at these pics. I just happened to notice some bent "pins?" on the right side of my board. Is this the possible cause to it not working?

first picture is the 2005 board, 2nd pic is my old working board.
yeah I know, I suck at taking pictures. But you can still see what is going on I believe.

better pics maybe.

I should add, I took my finger to those same pins on my board and on that board.
They are tough. Very hard to bend. Not sure I could bend them back.

If any of those bent pins are touching you'll be shorting out connections on the PCI bus.
That'll definitely cause problems.

on your camera there should be a button (maybe a flower setting) for taking close up photos. its probably near the portrait, outdoor and multi shot settings.

take a small pliers and gorilla them back to where they should be. if they break you will have to solder in a wire for continuity. could have damaged something but try it and see. i would guess it would work again.

Wow....I cant believe those pins got damaged in the shipping. I put that Board and HD in a large box with bubble and peanut packing. If they are touching that could be the problem.

it was packaged like a champion. you did a good job packing it.

ill buy it cheap :D

heh but i guess file a claim with the shipper? in the meantime you could try to carefully bend the pins back and see what happens...

I am going to try to bend them. They didn't get damaged during shipping. Like he said, he packed it very nicely, and the box looked like it
came off the assembly line.

ok, I got the pins bent back. they look pretty good now.

Here are the pics.
