My new house has a staircase the goes down about 4 or 5 steps to a landing then it makes a 90 degree turn and goes down the rest of the way to the basement. Well anyway I was able to fit all my cabs down the steps but there is no way that my GT cab will be able to make that turn. Does that top portion of the GT cab come off? If not look for it in the FT section :( Any other ideals on getting it around that corner? Thanks

Sure they come off, you just need a saw!

Seriously though, it may be possible to pry the top apart and re-glue and staple it back once down safe, it depends on how desperate you are to have it down there :)

:eek::eek::eek:

Yeah I guess I am just going to have to either bite the bullet and try and pry it apart or just sell/trade it. It is one of my favorite games so that will suck to have to see it go.

No, it won't. They used a bunch of staple nails and glue to hold the top and bottom together.

Now, you may try pulling the control panel drawer completely out, remove the monitor (to make it lighter), then try taking it down sideways with the front facing the turn. Once you get to the turn, the smaller top may rotate around the turn and let you get it in...

In case you wanted to see the result of the cutting I took a pic this morning. If all else fails you could do something like this, all that is missing in the pic is the square tubing that the 42" LCD mounts on. They look great on location and pull in more $$ with the larger screen.

Yikes :( I am going to have to figure something out because I don't think I can let this one go and I usually don't have a problem trading or selling games after I have had them awhile.

I wish there was a computer program that I could program the deminsions of my staircase and cab into and it would tell me if there was anyway possible to get it down. Oh and I do already the the monitor out and control panel off.

You're looking at this from the wrong angle. All you need is a sledgehammer and a sawzall. And you don't use them on the game - you use them on the *staircase*. Just make that turn wider, and you won't have this problem.

Try this out, watch the vids for a quick lesson, and you may be able to use this as you hoped.
