Here is my inexperience with these machines at play.

I've been getting the "Low Voltage" error on my GT 2004 (Green Board) machine for quite some time. I'd get through 6-10 holes and it'd shut off.

After reading the forums, I decided to open the back and found the "knob" that I can turn, that I believe controls the voltage (its right above the monitor "whiteness" knob").

When I turned the knob, the machine does not POST. The light on the marquee comes up, but the MOBO, hard drive, etc. does not spin up. It did before.

Please help!!!

When it says low voltage, its not referring to the monitor. Its referring to the power supply under the control panel. Unhook and slide the control panel out and youll see a power supply with a pot sticking out of it. Usually they have an arrow pointing to high and low. Turn the pot just a little bit. And see if the error goes away. If it still says low voltage, creep it up a bit more. Go a little at a time or get a meter to be sure your getting your 5v.

I think I was controlling the same knob. Unfortunately, I can't even get back to where the system POSTS. I get a blank monitor screen and the motherboard/hard drive aren't powering up.

Suggetions?

Hopefully you didnt crank it up and blow something. It could just be a bad power supply as they are the cause of 99% of problems in these machines.

I have had many issues with golden tee 2005 Green Boards and low voltage. I used New 200 Watt PS and after 3-9 months the PS would be giving me problems. I ended up putting in a 350 Watt PC PS cutting the end off and matching putting new ends on to match the Jamma harness. I also then plug the HDD directly into the PC PS instead of runnig the power from the board. I have never had a problem with them since. If you need a new Board I have a 2005 green I would sell.

I would ultimately just like to upgrade this to Golden Tee Complete. So if you have all the hardware I need to do that, I'd be interested.

You tried turning the knob the OTHER way, right? Sometimes too on these, if you turn it up too far the power supply will cut off if it's the big box kind.

Do you have a multimeter by chance?

I wish those sites wouldn't say to just turn the knob, if you turned it fully up it might have sent 7 volts and fried everything on the board and hard drive. I hope it's just a bad power supply and nothing else got damaged.

If I can, I'll take pictures of everything. I believe their is a red light on the board that comes on.

The marquee light on the machine DOES light up when I flip the switch though.

That would be good for a lamp and nothing else :(

You should not have adjusted the voltage like that :(

If it is like my Galaxian that takes ac input you might be ok but if it is going direct to chips :(

Check you voltages at the chips and adjust for 5-5.2 volts dc. Maybe center the adjusting knob before you power up again.

I finally got around to testing it. Fuse was bad, so I replaced it. Power supply is bad, so where can I get a new one?
