Upgrade any year Golden Tee Fore to the Complete with 29 courses. I will need your green or red board shipped to me with your hard drive and will update it to GT Complete with all 29 courses. $200 + shipping both ways. You will receive your same board and hard drive updated and tested working. PM for further details.

Just let it happen and the few lucky people get updates for 200$. Who cares.

Yep, this has been tried before and IT Games does not like it and will come after you.

Hmmm. Since they no longer support the Fore series for any updates, I really don't think there is anything wrong with this. However if IT has a problem I would definitely not do it.

Don't you need the bigger hard drive and boot ROM to do this also? Are you including those changes? My 2005 only has a 6.4 GB hard drive, I thought Complete needed more space than that (and thus, the 2.09 boot ROM). I only ask because I am interested.

You can use your original hard drive and boot eprom, no need to upgrade. I've had lots of interest in this but I don't think I'll be doing it out of concerns that IT may have issues with this. Although I have only heard this information second hand.

So enlighten us, I have a few compact flash drives from arcade services, for both 2005 and 2006 complete. I also have the 2.09 boot rom! I was under the impression that the IC U 53 had to match the version of the game you wanted to play, i.e. G45 for 2005, G4C for 2006 etc. I was also told that you cannot swap the U 53 between boards although and I have never verified this. If your're not going to put your self out there at least share some knowledge about your presumed work around please.

Yes please share how you are doing this.

I reported this thread, the guy is asking for money and boards and making promises he couldn't keep? F that, this guy needs to have his IP banned, this isn't the kind of person that needs to be a member here.

I dont think anyone sent him boards or money so there was no promises to keep. He was offering a service, listed his price and the details.

It was then pointed out that IT would likely have a problem with this service and he stated that he likely would not be doing it...

Really don't see where the outrage is coming from.

Nobody sent him boards because it was pointed out that the OP did not have the knowledge or skillset to deliver on what he was offering, if he had performed this service on his own boards he would have had both yet he instead chose to request other member's send them their boards so that he could attempt something he had no experience with. What if he damaged those boards? The question is how do you feel that this is acceptable behavior which should be defended?

Dude...

Where in this thread was it pointed out that the OP did not have the knowledge or skillset?

Where in this thread did anyone say that he was experimenting on peoples boards?

Literally none of that happened.

He simply offered a service and the details for that service, (he never said he didn't know how to do it or that he was going to learn how to do it on peoples boards and nobody in this thread said that either). He asked for people to send their boards in so they could be upgraded, and then he would send them back.

This is something that has been done before and the reason its no longer offered by the previous person because IT had a problem with it and threatened to sue him.

It was then pointed out to him that IT would have a problem with this due to copyright infringement and he decided that he wouldn't be offering the service due to that issue.

You sir are going off the deep end for zero reason. The service was simply that he could upgrade peoples older GT boards to the complete version for a small fee.

Would you feel the same way if someone offered CPS2 conversions for a fee? This is the exact same thing.

Please point out where it was stated that he didn't know how to do the conversion or where it was pointed out that he would be experimenting on customers boards.

It's obvious that either A) You're not very observant or B) Just lack the reading comprehension or experience to understand what actually transpired, that or you're just trying to save face for attempting to defend some questionable actions, in either case I don't have the time to go through and explain every post to you. Just know that what I did was an attempt to look out for other members here, possibly inexperienced ones like yourself and that I would do it again should I see the need. That being said we're all adults so If you have a Golden Tee board you would like upgraded please feel free to PM the OP.

Seriously??? well said. Nobody's money was taken, and no boards were shipped. I was not threatened by IT, I was just advised by someone that this could be a potential problem so I pulled the plug. I'm not sure what's up this guys ass but whatever.... nobody was harmed and no lives were lost in the making of this thread.
