Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder/Spiderman owners Please Help

I have a dedicated RODA with the monitor "glass piece" replaced with a bad piece of thin acrylic. They have an odd size or the CP top is moved over in a way that doesn't seal down/hold down the glass by overlapping it. They instead put a screw through it oddly.

I'd like some help with how other original machines are setup. I want to replace mine with glass and restore mine as best possible.

My monitor bezel also is looking kind of funky and was cut short. Does anyone also have pictures of theirs. Spiderman is also the same cab, any photos

Thanks in advance!

I've got mine in storage, but I need to get over there to work on some Konami 3 & 4 player adapters for it. I'll get you some photos tomorrow.

My spider-man cab doesn't have a screw through the plexi, it's just snugly pushed up and in (there's nothing holding it in other than the sides of the cab).

pretty sure it's just suppose to be supported by the front of the cabinets particle board and rests on it (i can see perfect outlines of the plexi pressed into the wood).

If you'd like i can take some pics for you. as it's just on the other side of the room.

Mine didn't come with the original plastic bezel, just a cardboard DataEast conversion dull black bezel (it was converted a few times i believe as this is definitely not dedicated in my case). Pretty sure originally it just kinda sat in there pressed up against the monitor (possibly some double sided tape at the top and bottom).

THANKS

the questions/requests only apply if you have a dedicated Sega Cab for these two games.
I want to see if my CP is mounted correctly and lines up right. It looks 1/4" too far back and does not hold the plexi/glass down so I am wondering about the correct size that fits in there.

I have the original CP but it's not on the machine, it's actually out for cloning right now as someone cut extra holes and different stick configuration in it once.

the panel should be cut at a 45degree angle where it meets the monitor and does nothing but hold the monitor from being pulled towards the players and out of the cab.

not sure if that's of any help :D

Pretty sure it's suppose to be flush up against the molding.

Yeah all of mine is original in that way. I just want to see other examples of how the CP lid holds down their glass/plexi.

I just checked my cab, it is the dedicated GA-TRODA. The glass just sits in the frame on mine, there is a little wood ledge at the bottom the same width and depth as the glass, and the glass rests on this. The top of the glass seems to slide up behind the speaker panel a little bit. When the CP is closed, it holds the glass in place.

Interesting, your glass is resting on a lower lip than mine. It's poor fit and finish as it shows the cross section of your plywood.

Yeah, I noticed that after I got back and looked at the photos -- but it may be that the card bezel is just sitting too high under there. I'm going to see if it just needs pulled down a little next time I'm at the workshop.
