is there anything that can be used to polish them or will it just take the gold off. i also read that people just use rustoleum hammerd gold and repaint them. does this look very good or is it cheesy looking.

What did you decide to do?

I have a set of gold legs here also and they didn't clean up very nice.
I guess I will just buy a new set unless there's another option???

If you can afford new gold legs then i would go that route but if your like me and tired of looking at rusty legs then a $5 can of paint works wonders.

Wow, that looks pretty good! I have a few pins with not so nice legs on them and wondered about painting. Thanks for showing the pics! What kind of paint did you use?

What would the average price be for a set of gold legs? I am curious because I have been thinking of powdercoating a few sets if there is a market for them.
