Have fun, I was there a month ago. I didn't play much since my time there was maximized on the rides. Cool addition to California Adventure even if it is temporary. - Barry
My wife and I had dinner reservations at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel at 9:00. This gave us about an hour to check out the state of thing at Flynns.
Here's my report...
First off the crowd was kinda thin for the amount of folks that were in the park....which is always fine with me! I noticed right away that the games have been thinned out. I would say by at least 6-8. Noticeably missing were the Joust and Qix. I was bummed because I was looking forward to putting up a score on that Joust! No doubt being a temperamental bitch...im sure the Joust is in the shop....and prob the Qix too. Maybe Gene can tell us. I did put up a hi score on the Robotron of 397000.
I didn't get a chance to check the stick on the Rampage that was broken the last time I was there. There were kids on it the whole time my wife and I were in there. This goes for Tron too. People were in line to get at it. What I did notice about all the games I played is that they have all been set to KILL! Guess it keeps the tokens coming.
Something I didn't notice until right now is that the new batch of tokens are silver. I got a 20s worth and we only spent about five bucks. Damn token thieves!
All and all you can't beat a steak dinner (a good one too) and 5 bucks at Flynns. The atmosphere with the 80s tunes and folks getting their game on sure takes me back!
Oh and my wife put up this very respectable score on DK considering it was set on difficult!
