eBay is a Pole Position 1 wasteland... good deals on PP2, but does me no good.

I want to do a WTB post in the right section, but since I'm limited on my funds... I wouldn't mind knowing what I'd be getting into. The last PP1 CPU board that was on eBay was from that Lawton clown, and I don't trust his stuff enough to bid too much (since I know I'm probably not going to get what's pictured).

So... what's the going price for a working, 100%, PP1 CPU board? Needing one pretty badly right about now. I have 3 CPU boards with various issues (RAM errors, missing sounds) etc etc... can't afford repairs on these heaps, but it seems like working boards sell for less than cost of repairs half the time... soooo... just testing the water.

I've been watching the FS section like a hawk (more or less) but haven't seen any PP boards on in a while.

There tough to keep going and even harder to get fixed most of the guys that can fix them dont want to they can make more money fixing much easier boards my experience. I have paid 100.00 to 150.00 for pp2 I bought a junk cockpit for 100.00 once for the pp1 board and scraped out the rest. good luck

If it helps anyone out in the future... I got my boards working again (they were fry'ng themselves on the cabinet's PS) by cutting the +5V and +sense lines, then running +5 and GND from a switcher directly to the test points on either board... Boards that WERE dead, fired right up. Granted, still not working 100% (board issues) but they're not dead anymore... all 7 of my boards (3 CPU and 4 video) came up... granted, only 1 video worked correctly, but again... not dead.

Hi, good luck with your issues!

Was wondering if you happen to want to part out any of your PPI boards?
I am having issues with my PPI; the other cars disappear when out in front of me, and the main car itself is distorted. I replaced 12N and 13N via Bob Roberts but no dice. So I am thinking that maybe I need 12H or 11N or 13H or 9F,10F .. or possibly all of them.

Game?

I do that as well takes a little stress of the edge connector and I put fans on the power supply area and the main board to slow down the big melt down. Seams to help but if they go down its tough to get them fixed as they are over my head by a mile.
