If you are replacing your bulbs under the lane guides you have to COMPLETELY SCREW THEM BACK DOWN before turning the machine on to check it if you are tryin g differet kinds of bulbs to see how it looks.

I did not. Left cannon started self check because I did not immediately go into self check, caught a screw inthw lane guide, guide did not move. The small connector piece that that goes from the roll pin in the motor shaft to the long plastic arm that actually moves the cannon SHATTERED. Instant broken cannon. I now cannot even start the game without manually moving thw cannon body because the self test still leaves the motor running een though I told the system the cannon is broken.

I think I have a source for the part but its fairly ugly what this will end up costing for something so damn easily preventable. :(

Just a heads up since I know at leas one other person here recently picked one up...

Heh, now I think I know why mine had those same broken pieces in the bottom of the cab. :)

I'm having to source these parts in australia, because apparently nobody domestic has them. This blows.

You were just brave enough to share that with us. The rest of us just never share our screw ups LOL!!!!

I seriously considered not posting it.

I do see that someone did the EXACT SAME THING on theirs and posted on RGP about a month ago..they didn't go into details but said they were replacing bulbs...had to be the same thing...

Also...

Do not replace flash bulbs by removing the socket while powered on with the coin door closed (extra stupid) and pulling it past a bunch of other metal contacts etc... :)

That one took months including mailing off a board and a service call. You are not along and the game is totally worth it. Get some extra if your going to mail order from AU.

Already placed the order. I'm getting three of them, and some other stuff at a extremely reasonable price that I'm hoping I can turn around and sell for many times what I paid for it to recoup some of the cost. Even if I make 30 times what I paid for them off of these extra parts, they will still be SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than ordering the existing repros from Planetary or buying them from ebay. Here's hoping they're either good quality repros or NOS in good condition...

Who did you order from?

Oh, the parts I bought extas to sell are neutral zone stickers, not this plastic part.

Planetary sells theirs for 3.50 or 3.75 depending on if they are laminated or not. Plus shipping of course, which frankly is probably going to cost more than the 30 cents it would cost them to mail it...

I was planning on selling the extras I get for 2.50 SHIPPED assuming the quality is good.

If someone actually needs tese specific plastic parts shoot me a pm an I'll let you know the places I have found to buy them. Kinda hesitant to just throw it out there until I get the parts and see about the quality, ship times etc. this place didnt seem like a huge parts site but they did have some specialized parts that other sites dont.

Once I get my parts safe and sound I'll be more than happy to share. I decided that it was worth the risk to tru and get this part. :|

Taking part those cannons was a major pain but I learned a lot about the game doing it. Enjoy!

Well, the fun part is that if you order these pieces, they arent drilled. So I have to figure out how to drill the right size hole and get the right size roll pin through it, the other armature, and the motor shaft. For some reason they dont mold them with the hole, or drill them. Oh well.

More importantly, I actually got the parts. :)

Don't take all of the ramps off your Medieval Madness and put them in the bottom of the cabinet, then a week later, turn on the game to see the light show on the playfield but also sending coil voltage down the switch matrix and blowing out the CPU board.

I get one run-on sentence a month and THAT was it!

Hehehe. I've broken those before. But, it was when the pin was still being supported by WMS so getting the parts was super easy (and cheap if I recall).

That really sucks.
