ok guys need help.go7 in a centipede keeps scrolling from bottom to top and cant lock it down... i have recapped it , put a new ic chip and new pots one it, what else should i do?

1) Is this the original monitor to this game, or did you put it in?

2) Have you checked the sync wiring is good at the connector, and the solder on the bottom of those header pins reflowed?

3) Have you checked that the two sync resistors (R314 & R317) are 390-ohms as is needed? Some mistakenly had the wrong value installed at the factory...

this is a backup chassis i am working on, tried in a centipede and a super pacman.sync wiring is good cause i swapped out another chassis that works fine. i will check the resisters and reflow the header pins. thanks mod

Were the two non-polar electrolytic capacitors also replaced when you did the capkit? They are generally not included in many kits.

Can sombody tell me why pics are needed for a scrolling problem? Im starring at the sky lost in utter confusion

Yes, because some people don't really know what scrolling is and it makes sure that everyone is on the same page. 9 times out of 10 a person will say that they have a scrolling issue and in fact it is a simple adjustment.

It is also 100% easier to diagnose a problem that can be seen, when you are not right there to do the work.

Let's see a pic of the sync wiring as it's connected, and a pic of the solder on the backside of those pins...
