GO7 repair log

Really?

I've got a tube/frame for each type of chassis that I attempt to repair.

What the hell do you do with the HV anode if you're powering up the chassis without a tube? That thing where you stick it in a jar?

I dont think this is a HV shutdown issue. It doesnt appear to be producing any hv at all now. Prior to replacing the regulator (which was wired incorrectly) it was charging the tube on power up and going into shutdown. Now after powering up there is no residual charge on the tube, filter cap etc. This one is very strange, been over this chassis a dozen times and cant find anything wrong. I swapped out the fly again back to the original one with no change.
I finally got fed up with this one and set it aside. Fixed three more GO7 chassis last night after that. Nothing worth noting, all were typical repairs.

Try swapping T501. Had the same prob on one of mine a couple of months ago.

Already tried that. I had already metered it and it tested good but I decided to swap it with a known good one anyways.

Yeah T501 will cause a high B+ because essentailly the HOT is turned off, and the power supply isnt loaded. If you get any static, T501 is probably ok.

Did you ever figure this one out Riptor? I have one doing the same thing. I've replaced all the caps, HOT, VR, T501, IC501, X901, X902, flyback, R908, b+ pot, X501, pulled X701... still in HV shutdown.
