so I took a centipede to work that I fixed up. I capped the monitor befroe I took it let it run for half a day in the garage all was good or so I thought!

took it to work its ran for 5 days then the monitor die no pic...

so I put out the chasis F901 was blown HOT still tested ok and the flyback wasn't crack that I could see.

so I put a new fuse in 901 and powered it up -- a little clicking then massive smoke and now the flyback has a crack!

did I fry it with the new fuse -- obviously its toast now - but if don't wanna put in a new one and watch it smoke

F901 didn't blow -- maybe because I put a 2 A in there as I didn't have a 1.5

I ordered some new parts to try and fix this -- anything else I can check to make sure I don't fry the new flyback?

When ever you cap a old G07 you should replace the flyback, its a high failure point.

put in a new flyback and put in a new fuse with the correct amps.

after that it *should* start up

i had 2 the other day with bad flybacks and blown f901 fuses. Capped it, new flyback and new fuse and it started up no problem.

I hear stories like that all the time with G07s. "It worked fine until I moved it a few blocks down the street." I think maybe the flybacks get brittle with age, and then the bumps send them over the edge.
