GO7 colors

Learn to fish or get cut up for bait , at least try a bobber and a worm . Read and research for a week , turn some pots don't smoke them .

you guys are great. i make you all have fun. so i am just going to buy a K7000 and drop her in. it is better quality then the bestech. this new go 7 takes care of the screen burn.
it really does. the colors are more deeper. once i dial it in it will be awesome. going to play some games tomorrow. you guys have a great day.

I still say Arcade1Up. or 5. they make them in different multigame varieties. surely one of them will fit your needs.

and this for emphasis:

if you asked me to help you (which I never would) and offered me $50 to solve your problems I would be sufficiently insulted
Why?

I'll try one more time:
You have a working CRT, and you pull it out and put in a Bestech chassis.

Why would you do THAT?

Why wouldn't you follow the guidance and adjust the pots on the working G07 chassis?

Now you are talking about just buying another CRT (as if they are easy to find or grow on trees) and install that?

WHY are you playing "musical chassis?" That isn't a good idea, or a good look.

SLOW DOWN.

FIX THE G07.

Please. The manual (which has been provided) has instructions. Read them and follow them. You can't just go to another G07 and say "okay, the red pot was at 50, the green pot was at 45, the blue pot was at 52" and adjust yours to match, because it doesn't have the same tube.

The factory had guys who could white balance these things in less than a minute. Granted, they did 300 of them a day so they got good at it. But it wasn't "Set the pots to X"

Stop trying to take shortcuts on the road to understanding. Take the time, READ, follow the INSTRUCTIONS and learn.

You can do it. You have to make an effort.

Thank you. No I have the g7 in there . Tomorrow I have to get these colors down. The Bestech was for the other monitor I have. I will print out that manual tonight. I don't think it is easy to do this with out a person. But I'll try. Thank you tech

Arcade tech is a very good person. He has helped me countless times. Before trying to dial in colors I was not on here for sometime asking for help.

I can't keep up..........

But if you take all 5 of your neckboard pots and turn them couterclockwise 100%. That basically turns all of the pots down.

Then, most of the time, the side with 2 pots (not the side with 3 pots) is all you may need to adjust. I'd start with a little green, then add a little red.

This advice isn't 100%, every tube and pcb output is different. But after doing what I said, if you still aren't where you want to be, use the side with 3 pots and make slight adjustments.

I get fatigued reading these threads.

He jumps around - it's hard to follow.

thank you very much

I stand by my assessment that this in not a real person. Or at least one that will not be with us much longer if he keeps effing around with monitors...

To the OP (in case I'm wrong) -

In order to Focus working on monitors, just Really Be Good at Capacitors, Resistors, and Transistors.

You have to break a few Yokes to make an omelette, you just have to get in Sync with that line of thinking...

Please don't think this is a Deflection of your question, but rather a Convergance of the knowledge that can be found on KLOV.

He's real enough, if you've been following along he paid up for a monitor from another member that he was dissatisfied with. He then sent out a chassis to be rebuilt to another member and after not getting it back fast enough started bad mouthing him. So he wound up getting that work done for free. He may be special needs but definitely real.

If your first and last sentences are true, then he should definitely stop poking around high voltage CRTs before he gets hurt. Not joking.

Hey guys, can I touch the pots. Honest question. I don't want to get blown to pieces and I solved dialing in the colors. I have a cheap mirror I'll use
Thanks. The only thing is black

Yes, you can touch the pots if they have plastic dials. For pots with metal dials, you would use a diddle stick.

Your next likely question: What is a diddle stick?

It is a group of adjustment tools for CRTs and radios. It has non-conductive tools that allow that without messing up the impedance of the IF coils and other things that have to be touched.

Be aware that Width coils (these are typically on the CRT board, stand up and are externally wrapped with copper wire) have a tendency to be "stuck" and crack or fail if you try to move them after (checks watch) 40 to 45 years.

Here is what a set looks like. I have a set and the one that is equivalent to the one I use the most is the white tool on the left. It has a small, metal blade which works perfectly with the trimmer pots on the neckboard if they are metal centered.

The above photo does NOT represent an endorsement of this product. Mine is a different brand. It is just showing tools you might want to acquire given your desire to work to adjust chassis.
