I just capped and installed a new flyback in my 13" GO7. The picture adjusted and was beautiful for a few days. Now there seems to be a high voltage arc from the anode across the outside of the tube every 20 secods or so. What caused this all the sudden and how do I correct it???????

Arcing from the anode connection at the picture tube is usually caused by dirt and grime accumulated on the tube. Perhaps some was smeared around underneath the suction cup when you disconnected/reconnected the tube. Discharge, disconnect the anode, and clean the glass around the connection with alcohol or Windex or similar. Also, clean the underside of the suction cup. When reattaching, verify that both metal tabs get into the hole in the tube.

also make sure you reconnected the ground that surrounds the picture tube to the neck board.

I've seen some issues with the GO7-FBO (13") when replacing the flyback, mainly because the flyback replacement is the one for the G07-CBO (19"). The FBO and CBO had different model flybacks. It's been said that you can use the 19" flyback on the 13" version with no problems, but the only one I tried had picture issues that were fixed by putting the original flyback back on...

Finally got back to the GO7 today. Checked the ground for continuity and found that I had the neck board ground not in the connector but between the connector shield and connector. I had no continuity from gound to neck board. I reconnected the neck board ground, cleaned the area on the tube around the annode and the thing is working fine once again.
