Is there any difference between these chassis? One says issue 2 pcb 500 and the other says issue 5 pcb 500.The one with the issue 5 pcb 500 (no resistors in R101 and R100)keeps blowing F600.I want to use the other chassis but I want to know If it will be ok?

Thanks
Guys

Wait...double check the B&W vector faq (google) - I *think* there was a different pinout for one of the revisions but its 3:30am and I could be wrong...but just double check :)

Definitely not a problem on the missing resistors though. The resistors often bake so they took them out of the design later in the game apparently. BTW Those chassis are prone to cold solder points on all the connectors, and they can cause blown fuses. Also its often seen that one of the big resistors goes bad and also causes blown fuses too. May be be an easy fix before you swap them out.

Yes,
One is a rev 2 and one is a rev 5

The rev 5 will have R100 and R101 removed. The rev 2 you need to remove R100 and R101 and replace them with a short piece of wire.

Test DB100 (Bridge Rectifier) in between R100 and R101, it is most likely bad and is what is causing your fuse to blow. (But don't quote me as I do not have the scat pulled up at the moment)

While the wire WOULD need to be installed if the resistors were removed, he wasn't asking whether he could remove the resistors. He just wanted to know if he could swap one for the other.

Now, if he wants to fix the other one, then we can go that route..

DOH!, It was late when I read the thread.
