never seen this one but i am sure you guys have. have neck glow, B+ 120, no picture, turn up the screen and all i get is very faint RGB lines on the screen. it discharges but not with the pop it should have right after turning it off. hooked up to a good test tube and game.

Game works .just tested.when I crank the screen all the way up screen is very faint when some rgb going across the screen. Have to be pitch black to see it.

I had the EXACT same problem in one of the first games I ever repaired (Moon Cresta). In that case it was a layer of grime on the front of the picture tube that was near impossible to see from the outside of the game. If you have ever worked on an early Sega/Gremlin game you will know why I didn't check that first.

Other than that I would lean toward a partially vented picture tube. Have you tried the chassis on a different picture tube yet?

i metered the neck pins and am only getting 1.9v on pin G2. that is the one for high voltage right. should be about 470 volts right? bad flyback?

If it's an original flyback, it should be replaced, regardless.

I meant meter the output on the color drive transistors on the neckboard.

Yeah, you should be getting a lot higher voltage than that - a couple hundred volts at least.

Does this thing still have the original flyback?

My meter goes up to 600 volts. I wil order a new flyback and go from there. It looks like the original.
