Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums looks like there is plenty of information here for all.

My question is I'm currently looking at buying a GNR, complete, nice artwork, typical
playfield wear, has the newer style launch ramp with VUK. Game is currently nonworking
owner says it quit working, so assuming board issues. Besides some electronic issues
game needs a complete shop job, rubbers, some cliffy protectors, flipper rebuild.

Was wondering what a fair price would be to offer the owner of the machine, do not want
to lowball but at the same time would like to come out on the deal if I ever decide to trade
or sell the game off.

Not sure why this game warrants such a price tag. With the machine in the condition stated I would be a buyer at 1700-1800. There was a bunch of them on ebay, a few months back that sold between 3000-3700 dollars.

Playfields àre hard to come by with this game. The last NOS playfield, sold for 1200.

I was thinking around the 2K mark, but wanted to make sure. They have been bringing
some crazy money on Ebay, but not sure that the seller actually sells them or maybe
they have been going overseas, seems to be quite a bit of interest in this title abroad.

Supply and demand is what commands the price. Considering that it does bring low to mid 3's on a consistent basis I think 2k unshopped and non functional is a reasonable offer. If he wants more tell him you at least want it fully shopped out. My .02

If the game doesn't boot I'd stay well below 2K. You have no idea how bad the issue is or if the dmd is good. Depending on the cab and playfield I'd say 15-1800 max if it doesn't work. Be sure and check the Axl hole for wear, the playfield where the Axl hole ejects usually gets worn and the Axl plastic is usually broken. Also check the G-ramp, it usually cracks where the trap door is. The one I had was in great shape, much better than most, and I still ended up putting close to $500 in parts in it. Compare that to the typical 200 I put into most machines, just keep that in mind when you come up with a price and compare to really shopped game. It's a great game, I'd like to get another 1 some day.

2k is about right for it in that shape. Mine was just finished, shopped out, LED's pinball pro sub, new gramp, axl plastic, the whole deal done to it. I havent even played a game on it yet since all the works been done. I wouldnt sell mine for under 3800 now

a complete basket case sold on ebay 6months ago for 1200 and it needed to be converted back among everything else

2k sounds fair, i will one day have this pin and i expect to spend over 3k

A complete non working Guns N' Roses Data East 1994

Class 3 condition $1075

law of supply and demand doesnt care about books or guides, a kiss isnt worth but a few hundred to me, but a kiss fan will pay way more

guides are good for the average game, but a gnr will never be 1000, if you see one let me know ill take 3

I forgot about the ramps typically being cracked up. IMHO Id personally trust pinpedia.com and the likes. I think it's a real window into what people are willing to pay. Having one person teying to dictate what somethings worth isn't exactly fair. Any guide she be used only as a guideline not an authority.

A perfect example of fail is kelly blue book. Banks dropped nada.com because kbb.coms prices were higher. So why should one source dictate value?

@ OP .... look you pay what you can afford. That is a win win situation. Forget about the value and just enjoy it!

The price depends on if you are buying it because its you dream to own one.
Or are you buying it so you can fix it up and sell it?

I'll spend more on a dream then an investment any day.

Supply and demand rules, the retailers are buying up all the pinballs and selling them at high prices. Home buyers are buying them up and holding on to them. It's like ticket scalping to a sold out concert.

GNR is the KISS Pinball of our generation (35 - 55).
That why I bought one 8 years ago in really nice shape for $1250.
I put about $250 into it, new plastics, topper, new balls, new screws, painted legs and coin door. Now that same game would sell for $4000 and up easy.

It's a good investment and much like the Kiss pinball, it will stand out among all the other pinballs for years to come.

Yeah, check those ramps. I'm pretty certain at least one of them has never been repo'd.

Hey Marshall, hows it going?
The G ramp is available but the R ramp isn't. The G ramp breaks more often where it's weak around the trap door.
All this talk about GnR, I'm sorry I sold mine.

Ahh R ramp, I couldn't remember. I thought you might have sellers remorse on that one, if I woulda had the loot I would have been all over it. Especially since Kevin added on to his lineup, I got a few games in Saturday. Really made me wish I had one. He's got that sucker cranked up nice and loud too. :)

I love my GNR, paid $3k for it. It has minor wear below the axl hole, and is a 9 outta 10 everywhere else. Ive put atleast another 500 in it with the lit mirror "guns n roses" on the backsplash, topper, manual, axl plastic, and a few parts here and there. It is one of the best games with a nice deep ruleset, and tons to do on it. I will do the slash figure mod eventually. Definitly a keeper pin!
