Howdy!

So now that I've found metal marquee brackets for my galaga cab, the last thing I need is a new tempered glass bezel. I found a place online that does custom tempered glass (http://www.onedayglass.com) for $35.50 + shipping, $22 in my case, but what I am *really* looking for is a shop that can silkscreen art on it too.

Anyone know a place?

TwoShits is the only place that has them screened on to glass, and they aren't accurate.

Yeah, I knew that, but I guess I was thinking I'd rather have that than have a go at a homemade version. If Darin, ToG, etc.. isn't doing it, then I'd just have to settle for the TwoBit one.

There are SO many Galagas out there that surely you can find a nice used one. Do that, have an original one, and don't waste your time trying to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks guys!

Had a quick look at TwoBits and they're actually quite expensive ($150 for a galaga one for instance ) so I'll keep looking. Plan is to see if there are any places out there that are willing to silkscreen something on customer-supplied glass, making it a whole lot affordable... in theory :)

Depends on the design, which I haven't totally figured out yet :) Shouldn't be that many colors though, maybe 2-3? Just enough to black out the 5" borders on the side and few inces on the top...

I thought you wanted a Galaga bezel? What is there to design? Are you looking to do a custom bezel? If so, you'll never find a silk screener that will take on a project that small, without you having to shell out some serious coin. People have been discussing these types of things on these forums for several years, you're certainly not the first. Rich at This Old Game is supposedly doing solvent inkjet 'one-off' bezels and marquees, where the image is reverse printed and then stuck to the inside of a piece of glass or plexi. Might wanna check with him.

A one off screen printed galaga bezel isnt going to be cheap any way
you look at it. You can reach out to Rich at This Old Game. He was advertising one
off bezels but they arent screenprinted and he supplies the glass.

I'd go the two bits route (which I did) or
find a nice original as JoeyCuda suggested.

I'll trade my New Galaga Repro from twobits for a nice Galaxian
bezel if anyone has one? Deconverting my galaga back into a galaxian.

Yup. Been looking at that one for a while and contacted the seller. It's silkscreened on glass and he's got a bunch of them on hand. Anyone want to be the first and let us know if it's decent quality? :)

The alternative I'm thinking of is going with OneDayGlass and getting a plastic bezel underneath it, which would come in around $50-80.

P.S. Apologies for asking questions that have been asked before. Search on PHPBB sucks IMO. Thanks for the links to TOG!

I bought one recently...it came today. It appears screen printed, but the colors are WAY off...not even close with the exception of the black (how hard is it to get black right though?). The picture in the auction looked pretty good on colors, but the one I got was quite a bit different from the auction picture. I've asked the seller for a refund or one that looks like the one in the auction picture. We'll see what happens...

hmm.. I wonder if they are screen printed. Free shipping to..
