There is one for sale locally (cocktail) and I would like to know...

How much is one worth (cocktail-black overlay-working)?
is it a desirable game (fun rare nice cabinet)?

thanks!

tank..

as old as they are, they seem to be common here in texas. i have two and a chance to easily to pick up one more. not sure about retail value. i never paid over 100 for any of mine.
the cocktail version in my neck of the woods is harder to find.

If I'm not mistaken it is an historical piece in that it is the first "computer" or "video" game to ever use ROM chips. As one who fancies himself a collector I would love to have one. As for the gameplay: Have you ever played Combat on the Atari 2600? It's a little better. A little.

Gotya, also from Texas, says they're common here. I haven't seen one since around 1979. If the one in your pic is working I'd give as much as $350 for it, seriously.

Even more common b&w era games: Sprint2, Video Pinball, Tank (uprights), Space Encounters and Tank don't show up all that often. I've seen more black-top Tank cocktails over the years than pink-top Tank cocktails. But in all, I have not seen many Tank cocktails in general. Either way, it is a fun game, and you can mod the board for different options.

Now, Ultra Tank (pardon the dust)? That's a rare one. I have a make do replacement, but I'm looking for the top bezel bracket (a longshot I realize). If anyone has Ultra Tank parts, msg me.

The only down thing I would figure is how much space it would take up, cocktail AND its round. For the game itself, a true classic and from what I've seen over the years, always popular at parties.

100 would be a pretty good deal. I personally wouldn't go over 200.

It's probably worth that much if you're looking for one for sure, yeah.

That's the one in bollingbrook, right? That thing has been on craigslist for awhile now - I bet you could get a deal.

Thanks for the info! and yeah it is the one in bollingbrook.
