Girls like Centipede

Great pic Yag. The focal point for me are those lips. Perfectly sculpted. It's funny, cuzz even though the whole picture is in focus, her face seems sharper and more detailed. Did you use a diffused hot light? Nice.

They are actually "cold" lights -- strobes. One with a reflective umbrella (face), the other a white diffusing one (general), triggered by infrared.

I turned them down low (like 1/8 power) and opened the aperture (F-Stop) up to F3.5 to get that soft blur beyond her head and body. Shutter speed was 1/200.

Hey, can you two stop with the buzzkill? DAMN...

Centipede

It's true, I bought my "ex" one and she fell in love with it. It "allowed" me to get a couple more games. But then we broke up, and the Centipede stayed with her.

She use to whip my ass pretty good at it too, hated that game!

I believe Centipede was the first arcade game to be programmed by a women, which explains a lot.
Urban Legend. :)

Ed Logg was almost single handedly responsible for Centipede. Donna Bailey was/is often credited as the programmer because it makes for good marketing. Bailey may have come up with some of the basic ideas, and the color scheme, but Logg has stated that she didn't have the necessary skillls to program a game. Given Logg's well known track record and hers, the truth is pretty obvious.

On the brewing forum I frequent, we have a thread that started out just like this (GF + hobby stuff) and has gone on for some time. Monthly photo shoots of GF on hobby related scenes. Like the old pinup calendars. Provocative, not too revealing, always creative, never boring. One of the best was the GF naked on a pool table. She had a "come hither" look and her body was shielded by a stack/wall of beer glasses that blurred the key parts. I would share a link, but it's in the members only (i.e. pay) section....

Oh man, that sucks. Always good to know the truth of the matter though.

So I guess we will stick with Gorf then, as the first game programmed by a female person.

Yaggy always has the best threads! :D

Also... Anyone hating on the pics/clothes/makeup/whatever of the girl, gtfo! ;)

Go take some different photos how you like them, and post them in a thread similar to this. Do it. Do it now.

+1 I thought the pic was great, and thought the little lady was looking pretty damn sexy (no disrespect Yaggy). I am with Jawhn, everyone should go home and take pics of their ladies on or near their games and show us how they like the pics taken!

Donna was originally credited as the Game Designer of Centipede, somehow that morphed into programmer. The only arcade game I am aware of that had a woman as the lead programmer was Mystic Marathon. Kristina Donofrio was the lead programmer and game designer. I was the junior programmer on it. She also was part of the team that did Joust 2.

Am I stating the obvious?

You can have ten, a hundred or two arcade games,

just be sure one of them is a centipede if you want

to make a girl happy.

Kae spent a good hour on the game and

has a renewed hatred of spiders.

Took a photo.

NICE!! Is she only into cocktails? Or does she like the upright version too? :D

young Cindy Lauper?

Your centipede topper looks a little like Cindy Lauper when she was young. It was just my first reaction. Wasn't centipede the first successful videogame created by a woman? Maybe it's in the design.
