Ging to South Dakota for a pickup. Anything to check out?

Going to head over to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to do a pickup (March, leaving from Minneapolis, Minnesota). Is there any neat Aracde stuff near there? Any amazing restaurants, Landmarks, Diners or wackey shops to check out?

Sioux Falls has a pretty good zoo but this is the wrong time of the year for it, though.

there's a lot of flat land out there... there's basically nothing beyond sioux falls and honestly not much inside it either. lol

I know there was a place that had a Medieval Madness pin out in the wild, couldn't tell you what the name of the place was though. If it's good weather at that time, drive a little further to Sioux City and do some golfing. I've heard, never played, that they have some great courses up there.

Most of this is centered around Rapid City, but still worth a look if you have the time:

Mt. Rushmore
Reptile Gardens
Bear Country USA
Wonderland Cave
Deadwood
Wall Drug
Corn Palace
Spear Fish
Mammoth Site, in Hot Springs SD

I would stop at Wall drug, thats a good one. Great burgers at the dive bar across the street. Also, go to the badlands. You can drive thru and never get out of the car, maybe 3 hours to see it all.

That's over 400 miles one way from where he is going, except for the boring corn palace in Mitchell. That's only 75 miles further one way.

Let's put it this way....
People in Sioux Falls looking for anything interesting, they head to Minneapolis.

I've heard the Washington Pavillion is nice, as is the kids museum they have there. But yeah, most of the tourist type places and all the really cool stuff in SD is in the western half.

Wall Drug is the worst tourist trap I have ever been to. I don't recall there being anything arcade-related in the bigger South Dakota cities.
