Hey there,
Today I received a Ghouls n'Ghosts bootleg board that was working (I saw it working) and in my setup, it doesn't.
The previous owner had it setup in a proper cab and I'm using a supergun with a computer power supply, seems like the board has a 5.2v written in a sticker and I guess my PSU won't go to 5.2 to power it properly,
Could it be the culprit?
Looking forward for your feedback on this one, had it all ready to pump some GnG tonight! :(
Thanks!

It's working with all my other stuff, the MVS, other bootleg boards.

A newer one, been stable so far, but it's a cheapish brand.
I meant what style. I don't just want to assume it's an ATX power supply.

It is. :(
It's my first setup, it's a cheap supergun with a 24 pin connector.
It works in my other TV though, weird! Both are Sony Trinis.

Oh it's a super gun... Hmm. I was going to say some games need adjustments to sync vs others on occasion. But since you are outputting to Consumer TVs, I don't know.

I always start with the power supply. Use a MM to find out how much current reach voltage rail is pulling and check that your power supply specs to make sure it can deliver that much.

Post a video. It sounds more like a vertical hold / sync problem. Some boards are just problematic and don't output perfect/standard sync pulses. Even the frequency is just a little off, some monitors just won't like it. Can you not adjust the VHold on your monitor or TV assuming it's a CRT? If a TV there's likely a hidden service menu to change it.

It's measuring the normal values it always does, a hair beyond 5v. :)

I actually got it to work in my other 2 TVs maybe this CRT is a bit more finicky as it's a newer model, really weird.
I had another weird issue with the sprites and found out that it works fine when the board is not bent, had it on it's standoffs and it was a bit bent due to the weight, as soon as I pressed, the thing got worse, when I lifted it, fixed, what could it be?

Might help.
I have the same issue with my bootleg GnG but been to lazy to swap the sockets out.
Those old sockets really need replacing and most are only single wipe but I'm busy swapping out 24 ram sockets in my defender PCB at the moment.

I gotta get those chips out first right? Any deoxit does the trick?
