Just picked this board up recently but then this week a holy grail of mine has become available locally so this needs to go to fund it. PayPal gift or add 4%.

Last one on flea bay sold for over $500, conversion boards have been selling for over $200; so I'm pretty sure the price is accurate.

...Last few ones Ive seen on ebay went for between $500-$600.

Yup, eBayers.

IIRC, eXidy sold one not to long ago. And it went pretty quick too. I think he was asking $300, OBO, + shipping.

Yeah, GHOULS is a great game. It's not only a GRAIL game but also a TROPHY board. Clearly, it's some of CAPCOM's finest work. And, it doesn't change hands every day. Seems like eveytime one of these boards pops up for sale, the price jumps a bit. But, that doesn't surprise me though: I've seen people try and trade their beloved GRAIL $hmup$ for one of these. Man, I love this game.

Best Of Luck With The Sale, Ash.

Well, off the top of my head, all CAPCOM CPS1 boards have custom graphics chips, all CAPCOM CPS2 boards have custom graphics chips, and some of the CAPCOM Classic boards I've see also have custom CPU chips. Not sure about CPS3 boards.

NEO boards also use custom chips, but that's another story.

The prices on these boards are pushed up by how badly some people want to play it and the limited inventory. It's really not worth it. The genesis port was good. It plays on 2-3 more console ports and collections. There's even a plug into TV device for Daikamura.

I don't agree that the KLOV price should be so high. Ebay is top dollar, not here.

what the?

Then why would we sell here? Ebay is fair market value plain and simple nothing finds the current market value better then an auction. The only bad thing about ebay is they have high fee's but they also get you more dollars by reaching more people. What reason should the prices be any less here then on e-bay? There are some people here that do all this for fun, that is great there are others that are here because they love the industry and want to make a living with it. One thing I think everyone here agrees on is that it is sad the industry is fading away but anytime anyone tries to make money in it you guys complain. That is why all the arcades are gone most of the pinball company's are gone and you are shocked to see an arcade machine in a restaurant when it use to be the norm.

Considering the last one on eBay went for $575 shipped (it included the marquee) the seller's asking price isn't out of line in any way.

[EDIT: Yikes, two replies while I was typing this!]

The more he lowers his "KLOV price" the more he opens himself up to an opportunistic flipper.

Which he's already risking by knocking $120 off of what he could (apparently) get on eBay. Considering $120 is more than most boards go for total, taking that big of a hit actually makes this a pretty generous, community-friendly price.

The only people who can protect the market are buyers! If they keep playing ball buying overpriced boards, they're going to set the price. It's not the sellers' faults.

Okay, then what should I base the price off of? I'm not asking $500 or more like Ebay, I'm asking $380 shipped. I did a search of the game on here and there a 0 recent sales. Feel free to offer a better pricing method and not just thread dump.

They want it free

They think paying just the shipping is to much. Never have a met a group of collectors not willing to pay anything for the stuff they value enough to collect, then in the arcade collectors. And the few "real collectors" that pay top dollar for what they want get blamed and flamed for it. The funny thing is when these cheap people go to sell there stuff suddenly its worth a ton. They need the antique dealer's sign I buy junk and sell classics.

i apologize if I started this debate, I was just asking, I wish I could afford it and best of luck with the sale, its a classic game that is one of my favorites hands down.

No apologies necessary, buddy.

The DEVIL himself is in the board. Only mighty men can hold onto this board.

... $380 shipped. ...

Dude, don't sweat it: You're price is fine.

If you were out of line, I would have jumped you a long time ago.

I got my GHOULS board for $220 (partially-working, shipped). One of my buddies paid $450 (shipped) for his GHOULS board. I saw another guy sell his board not to long ago for $350 (shipped?). Hell, I saw another guy buy a dead board for $100 (shipped). And all these are just forum prices--no gBay prices.

Heh, yeah, IIRC, not too long ago, someone adjusted that GHOULS baord price in that CAPCOM price guide. IIRC, they chagned the HI price from $220 to $350 after a US GHOULS board sold on eBay for BIG bucks. And, think it was the one that came with a marquee. LoL, you should find a GHOULS marquee for your board, Ash. :D

But, naw, IMHO, $380 (shipped) is not out of line, considering forum sales.

You're fine, I often question why some boards cost so much. I do not however, go into someones thread and act negatively and accuse someone I don't know of price gouging. I am serious that if my price was out of line, maybe someone could give me a better way of pricing. I don't do this for profit, but for fun. I am selling the devil's board to unleash an even greater hell upon my game room...The CarnEvil!
