FS Game: Ghosts n Goblins prototype pcb.

Great investigative reporting. John Stossel couldn't have done better. Hopefully we get to the bottom of this

Okay, maybe not in this context, but SOMETHING FISHY occurred with those 2 cancels!

bid was at $3,550.00 then these actions occurred:

#1: a bidder accidentally (lol yeah right, entered $37,490.00 instead of $3,749.00), but this
was a ploy to reveal the reserve price and to kick it up to the next bidder, which was also
cancelled after this miss-bid was cancelled.

#2: after the cancelled bid, why was the other bidder cancelled with his $4,050.00 bid?
Maybe to save the seller reserve fee's? Who knows. That's speculation...

In previous auctions I've held, I've seen stupid stuff like this, so it's possible what happened was Bidder 1 bid $4,050 and was then outbid by Bidder 2 at $37,490. Bidder 2 could have been looking to reveal the reserve OR it's very possible they made a mistake and put in the extra digits. That bid was obviously cancelled for either of those two reasons, which would have put Bidder 1 back in the lead.

Bidder 1 now gets an email stating he's back in the lead and it's possible that he was no longer interested in the item having thought he was out of the auction thanks to Bidder 2. Bidder 1 contacts the seller to have their bid cancelled because they either don't know how to retract a bid or they don't want the retraction mark on their account.

The example of asking for a cancelled bid from the seller is usually more plausible when chasing a readily available item. I've been caught in that myself where I was watching a couple listings of the same item and then once I get outbid on the listing that goes above the BuyItNow price of another, then I simply bow out and buy the other item outright. In at least a couple times, after I've already purchased the other item, I end up becoming the winning bidder due to a cancellation or retraction and then I have to tell the seller to cancel me too because I no longer need it.
