This is the Nightmare Tony Ghosts n Goblins prototype that he had worked on. From what he told me when I received it, this was an early english revision for this title. The massive epoxy was apparently to keep people from stealing the chips (lol) while it was in the proto stage. This romset has not been dumped yet- I had reached out to the mame team a couple of times, but nothing ever came of it.

I ended up with this when we were fundraising for tony's cancer treatments. I think it's only fitting that since thats how I came into it, i will take a portion of the proceeds and donate it to the American Cancer Society in his name (this was his preferred charity).

I know this isn't a normal item to put up here- Local pickup is encouraged, however shipping is available. If you want it shipped: I will double box it (including the romstar kitbox he shipped it to me in) and ship it fedex (or whatever service you prefer) with signature/ insurance/ etc... to ensure it gets where it needs to go. If you are within a few hundred miles me I could feasibly meet a buyer in the middle somewhere. I would really prefer to keep it in the states, but would ship it elsewhere for the right member. To my knowledge, this is the only one of these out there.

Pricing is difficult so I'll put it at what he was originally looking for- $5000 shipped (this will included that earlier mentioned donation).

Too bad MAMEteam do not have interest on it, I guess it's mainly because of the price, would be too difficult to raise funds for it. But it would be awesome to have such a rare board dumped and preserved! Good luck.

I offered the dump for nothing. As it turns out there is a dump of it but it's incomplete and missing one rom. It's already being worked on.

Rare or not - I wasn't trying to keep this from the mame team- they just never got back to me.

Hi CDAMM, can you please email me? I'm on the MAME dumping team and local to you. I'd like to dump the missing ROM. Thanks,

It's on ebay now. If you do want it and the reserve is not met feel free to hit me here and if we get to a deal, i'll pull it.

T-17 HOURS TO GO!

11 bids and $3,550+ on ebay currently and the reserve hasn't even been met yet!

that's one hella crazy reserve!

Crazy! Looks like 3 bids were removed. I guess some people placed a shill bid of $37k+ just to see what the reserve was set to...

With just under T-3 hours left to go, 10 bids in, and it's back at $3,550. With a now known reserve of $4,000

That's not what shill bidding means...

Okay, maybe not in this context, but SOMETHING FISHY occurred with those 2 cancels!

bid was at $3,550.00 then these actions occurred:

#1: a bidder accidentally (lol yeah right, entered $37,490.00 instead of $3,749.00), but this
was a ploy to reveal the reserve price and to kick it up to the next bidder, which was also
cancelled after this miss-bid was cancelled.

#2: after the cancelled bid, why was the other bidder cancelled with his $4,050.00 bid?
Maybe to save the seller reserve fee's? Who knows. That's speculation...
