Got me a new item to add to my collection for only $150. It's a Ghosts 'n Goblins cabinet, well in a Romstar cabinet. Not sure , but it seems like a conversion because it doesn't sport the original CP. But there is a Romstar serial sticker on the Board Set so maybe not......?

It's a finicky cabby, well the 19" G07 monitor doesn't like working all the time, but i think it was just a shaken fuse holder. Of course, a cabinet this old is a little worn and torn, but otherwise it seems nearly the cleanest one I've grabbed besides my 4 Player Konami. The coin door mechs are pretty much gone, period, except for the door. Otherwise this one works, but small audio cracks and fading during some of the game play.

I'd say the price was fair for a sturdy working cabinet. A lot sturdier than the one I picked up for $25, and it doesn't have water damage. Just it's missing casters and wheels so it's a little pain to move without a dolly, so I had to run by my work and pick one up..........well buy one. Gonna return it after I'm done.

The game is as difficult as I remember playing the so called sequel/remake Ghouls 'n Ghosts!

I'm going to take a guess and say it's a Joust cabinet. Open up the control panel and check the backside... do you see holes for two sets of joysticks? If not, then it might be a moon patrol cabinet.

That's a Williams cabinet, maybe Moon Patrol.

Definitely a Williams! It's got the stickers all over the G07 Chassis for Williams. Bonus internet cookie to Phetishboy.

I'll check the CP and get back to you.

Wha? Phet gets the cookie....I posted before him giving you two Williams game options Joust and/or Moon Patrol. Okay okay, i'll let Phet take this one but be prepared, he only accepts flesh cookies.

I'd have to say, Yes, probably Moon Patrol. The CP is still using the leaf switched buttons, no extra or covered holes, and it still has a manufacturer stamp from 1982 on the wood.

Oh and a side note, it came with Cabinet Schematics, the boards mentioned and diagrammed on the schematics appear to match Moon Patrol PCBs

The fact that it's still using leaf switch buttons only means the operator that converted the game kept using the same buttons (typical). Moon Patrols button configuration should be much closer together. I bet if you remove the buttons and take a closer look at the backside of that panel, you'll see more holes. In fact, in that photo, it looks like they're using a hole that was designated for a joystick. I think that's a Joust panel.

Of course, it could be a Make trax panel too that was grafted to a Joust or MP cabinet.

Just throwing that out there.

AHHHH, I stand corrected. Internet cookie goes to avidgeek! Found a note card taped inside the cabinet with a stamp and some writing. The stamp says "Yesterday's 1016 Lufkin Mall in Lufkin, Texas 75901." The writing however, says......"Joust Serial # 600712 .....something something vending."

Phet can have the cookie, he needs to gain some weight.
Do me a favor....if there's a phone number for that vending company, try calling it, they might have other old games for sale (if the number is still good).
