Looking at a gng in correct cab in decent condition. The ad says it works great but there is some damage to the front left corner on the bottom where a tennis ball sized chunk of wood is ripped out and surrounding the parameter of the hole for about 2 inches there is a layer of wood gone as well that could be fixed easier. There is another corner where a few inches of wood/paint is gone but just a thin layer not a void. Other than that the paint looks good. The bezel, marquee and cp all look good but one of the side art pieces is half missing and will need replaced. Monitor looks pretty good with some burn where scores are displayed and where it says "ghosts and goblins" while sitting idle. Burn doesn't look too bad but it's hard to tell as his pics are a bit fuzzy. Sorry fof the essay haha.

The fellow would like $750 which seems a little steep? Maybe i'm way off and that's the going rate, but I would think $750 would be for a pretty mint example?

That may be a bit much for the condition but that's well below what a mint example of anything would go for . These don't come up often in the dedicated cab and if it's a game you want you'll probably never see another working dedicated for less . I would say if it's a must have for you , go negotiate your best deal in person and buy it . Mines not mint but in much better shape and I wouldn't sell it for that .

Thanks for the advice. I'm kinda thinking the same. I want tge game quite badly and I highly doubt I will see another one this close to me at any price so I probably ought to take a shot at it.. I can always sell something to make up some money haha

the boardset alone sells for $300-$500+. dedicaded cabinet is rare(most are kits). So if you wanted the real thing, its fair.

But if you just want to play it, then $150 multi board, $150 jamma cabinet and another $150 in art to dress it up and your there.

The boardset does not sell for $300-$500. It is currently selling for less than $250. I had to drop mine to $250 with harness and marquee to sell it last month.

I would think of it more like if you want one you should buy it.. not exactly an easy to find game.

I had one I sold for a grand.. was pretty nice though.

I thought about replacing it but havent seen another one for sale in two years.

Threads like these are really a sign of the times. I picked mine up back in like 2007-8 for $300. The guy I bought it from had paid $1200 or $1500 for it 5 to 6 years earlier. He had been trying to get $800 on craigslist for months. Then all at once he dropped it to $300 as there was zero interest. I then jumped on it as it was on my list. I ended up selling it 2 years later with a set of new old stock side art I had purchased afterward for $350 total. The guy that bought it from me restored it fully and then lost his ass selling it when he got in to pinballs.

Does the multiboard version play pretty well? I'm currently taking the risk and waiting to see if he will drop the price as there isn't a huge market where it is located. So far it is still for sale but no price drop. I have been thinking about fixing up an old dynamo cab with the multi as a replica gng, then maybe buying the actual board down the line somewhere if I can find a deal. My wife works for a huge print shop so I get great deals on printing artwork. Ghouls and Ghosts is my absolute holy grail, but I think I could live with a replica ghosts n goblins as long as it plays very close to the original. It seems like everytime a game I really want pops up my play money has been recently drained..
