my pacman idea (I'm sure I'm not the first cheap guy to think of this)

So I'm thinking my next project will be a table arcade. I also don't want to spend a lot of money so I'm thinking of modifying a table to fit a TV and a plug n play pacman game with a joystick and a few buttons.

Of course everything will be gutted out and rewired with a glass top.

What do you guys think? Do it? Don't waste my time? Any better furniture ideas?

not Bugs.

I need a center table for the living room so that's why I was thinking of a coffee table. Maybe Ikea will have something cheap...

Sounds like he needs a "Surface Tension" arcade game table. :)

Not exactly sure how the CP folds under, but it looks like you can hide the Control Panel when not in use.

Oooh, I like that sucker. Great way to sneak a game into the family room.

Thats alot of work and money . Just go buy any working decent cab off craigslist for around $100 and your done .

You should just sell it on Craigslist as-is: "cocktail PackMan - needs some work - $1000"

If you're going to build a "table arcade"... Just make the real thing. I have full measurements for a typical Ms. Pac cocktail table, if you're handy with woodworking tools...

If not, then sure, build it like you're saying.

...we just all know that after you've done that, you won't be happy, and will eventually either buy a cocktail table, or build one. ;) We're trying to save you some time.
