This is our second one. First was a great success with over 200 pieces, including 18 pins.

This time we have a special rate for the parts table to make it easier to sell small items and walk away with cash!

Hope to see you all there,
-MIke

Does anyone happen to have any more information on this auction, like the amount of games that will be auctioned or perhaps a list of titles? I would rather not drive 2+ hours without any idea of what I am getting myself into. Thanks in advance!

There was a decent selection for the last one (in the spring), but as with all of these consignment style auctions, it really depends on who comes and what they bring. I have a linked pair of sitdown Cruis'n Exoticas (professionally installed in the smaller Cruis'n USA cabs), and a dedicated Cruis'n World I was considering bringing, but I'm not sure know if it's going to work logistically (I'm an hour and a half away, but won't be coming from home that day...so would have to bring them up on Friday). But if anyone is interested in such things, let me know before Thursday night (they are too big to lug around if they are not going to sell for much). :)

Last spring was my first auction (ever), so basing off that, I would have thought there would be more there. However, again, that was my first. Despite not being as much as I expected, the games were in good condition, some items went cheaply (changers), and some were hiked up there and were buy-backs.

I'll be going to this one, anxious to see what's there.

Agreed. It certainly wasn't bad considering it was the hosts FIRST auction. Kudos to mancaveauction for successfully pulling it off. Logically, I'd expect there would be more awareness this second time, and hopefully more participation. I've been going to these auctions for years, and I've found that typically, bigger is better (more buyer/sellers, more variety, more fun). There did appear to be a good number of buy backs, but that's a product of a low bidder turnout (and everyone looking for a "deal"). I think most vendors would be happy letting some pieces go for a bargain, if others were selling well...but no one wants to lose their shirt.

Not at all being critical (just an observation), it seemed the auction fees were a little higher than I've seen with other auctions for both buyers (15%) and sellers ($15 + 10%)...I think, I don't recall exactly. Perhaps if the volume increases, the fees will come down some. And of course there was the "Cash Only" issue that can curb spending.

Not sure how feasible it would be, but if the organizers are listening...this would be the PERFECT use for PayPal gift payments. Same as cash, no fees, and I don't have to try to guess how much cash I need to bring (in case one of my Grails shows up at auction). :)

Thanks for the insight, guys. I am up in the air about going, seeing as I bought two games in the past two weeks! But I am real curious as to how these auctions go down, so I just may end up there if nothing else comes up.

I was gonna go but the 2 hr drive was a bit much to take a chance in getting a couple of cabinets. I lucked out locally with to cabs that I can easily rehab and flip for xmas sales
