It seems like getting a game to 80-90% is easy. Getting it to something that really feels like "DONE" takes forever.
For example, I just finished a 10-hour marathon session with my 1974 World Series. I fixed a bunch of stuff and put it back together...only to discover that a spring had popped off the left-most "single" target. So I pulled it apart, fixed that, and put it back together again - another 45 minutes. Now suddenly the bat is not working. Fortunately this was an easy one - the switch under the big chrome bat button was loose.
So now World Series is finally working fine...but the bleachers don't light up when hit. I spent another hour troubleshooting this, but now I'm beat. And I know that I won't want to deal with World Series for a while...so for now it sits at 95%.
If I include cap kits, stencils and other "cosmetic" things, most of my games are this way. I wish I had crazy money so I could pay someone to finish it all.
