Getting pins out of my basement - by myself

An update, it works great. No problems, couldn't have worked any better.

How did you power the winch?
Did you run long wires to your car/track battery??
Or is there a better way to power the 12 volts?

Jumper cables from a the car's battery. I just park the car on the edge of the driveway and use it while bringing up the pin.

I used it yesterday to bring up POTC. Worked great again.

A Harbor Freight lift cart with the handle remounted on hinges so it swings down and out of the way.

I use the SAME lift from Harbor Freight. I like what you did with the handles.
I didn't know what to do, so I cut a few inches off the end, so it would fit under a pinball machine. I like your idea better!

I can't take credit for the idea. I saw it on another forum and I happened to have the hinges on hand. I did have to flip the handle orientation so the release lever is now on the left. And doing that meant having to re-route the cable a little bit. But now the handle folds down out of the way in front and you can pull the machine, and when you are done it folds flat against the cart for storage.

Here is what someone locally here did with the one they bought and flipped the hinge and handle around.

That is more elegant than my setup for sure. Looks really nice. Mine ended up being easy and free.

I'll take some pictures later today so you can see what I did more easily. I'll probably start another thread about it.

Yep, SW is gone. A tough decision. In the end I think Stargate is a better player so the choice to me became gameplay vs. eye candy. I have limited space so play won out.

Do you seriously think that that never crossed my mind? Do you think my friends are at my beck and call and can drop everything whenever I need to move a machine?
Calm down I was just kidding around. How often are you moving games up that hill?

Sorry, got a little defensive I guess.

Moved another up on Saturday so that's two in two days. It may be a little bit before I move another up, but you never know. ;)
