Getting a new monitor anyone interested in helping me swap them in return for the 25?

I am getting a new sanwa 27in vga monitor for my konami cabinent and I have never done a discharge or anything to that effect. So I was thinking if one of yall from Mn was interested in helping I would let whomever keep the 25in wells gardner thats in there currently. The monitor works and has no burn however there is a small pin head sized phosphor burn on the screen hardly notice it but its there. Deal is help me remove old monitor and mount new monitor and you get the 25in in return.

Just discharge it your self. I'm 14 and I have discharged my monitors numerous times and also removed and replaced my monitor. Its not hard. Make sure you make note of where connectors go though.

It's not easy doing a 27" by yourself -- mine was about 80-90 lbs. Much easier with a second person.

Mine was 25-27' I can't remember. Someone told me it was 25 but I measured it 26ish. It was damn heavy though, granted I didn't have help.

Great deal for someone nearby. Also, you don't have to discharge the monitor if you're just removing it from the cabinet.

Unless you want to be shocked you do. That is if its still connected with the anode cup etc.

I've moved dozens, never been shocked.
Just keep your hands off the anode cup and you're fine.

Before you give the old monitor away, make sure it fits in your cabinet! Some cabinets have room for a 27, but many do not..

you don't have to dischage a monitor to swap it. The only wires connected to you monitor are:
video cable (no power)
ac connection (no power if the game is not on)
Monitor remote board (no power. some monitors don't have remotes)
grounding wire (might be intergated into the power connector.some monitors don't ave them connected)

If you monitor was mounted without a frame, then maybe you would have to discharge it. But if it was mounted without a frame(only time they do that is when there is no room in the cabinet), then there is no way the 27" monitor will fit.

The only other possible reason you would need to discharge would be if you were going to pull off the frame. Well, a 27" tube will not fit on a 25" frame.

thats bull. The charge is held UNDERNEATH the anode. Unless someone is dumb enough to slide their hand under there while moving, then there wont be a problem. I pulled monitors plently of times before I even knew what an anode was.

Well I hope the monitor fits its only a 2in upgrade I can modify cabinent if required but Im sure a konami 4player cab can handle it I hope. I measured my cab seems like there is plenty of room dimensions confuse me a bit though. Exactly how is the tube measured here are dimensions Mounting dimensions are 20.5" x 20.5" center to center of the mounting holes. Tube is 18.5" tall x 24" wide this is going into a konami 4player cabinent.
