Huge shoutout to @mgkastra for setting me up with the artist who did custom paint on 3D mountain upgrade for my Getaway pin.

You need to remove the ramp cover to get the mountains in so I got a laser cut red lexan ramp cover and chromed a "Supercharger" nameplate to go on top.

I think it looks incredible. All thanks to @mgkastra for setting me up with her.

It looks 20x better than I had hoped.

Damn that looks great.
If you have a Getaway she (artist) may be able to slot you in for custom paint also.
i cant print the mountain or you can print and ship to her.

Working on my mountain... this is a paint test. This particular print didn't quite fit and I'm working on a modified version of the model that clears the opto sensors better. Since this one didn't fit I figured I could use it to try my hand at painting.

Second go at the mountain. Some adjustment to the model to clear the opto covers. Just need to clear coat it.

I have the .stl files to print the mountain but, my painting skills lack. Very nice job guys.

That is the best looking mountain. I haven't done a mountain mod yet because the comedically available ones look kinda lame, but that one is nice

So when are you going to tackle a better mod to the coffee shop ?? 😉😉😁😁
Asking for a friend…
It's on the to-do list.

Been working on a strobe light mod. Trying to decide which style.

Also did a traffic light model -- inspired by the one by OlloG (Williams Getaway - Trafficlight Mod V3.3 by OlloG). I did my own model as I wanted flat sides and top, among other things.
Williams High Speed II -- The Get Away traffic light mod
@wpmcnamara am finally going to give the traffic light a try.
Downloaded your models.
Did you print walls vertically or lay them flat on the bed?
I am looking at the top and bottom and looks like I need supports if I print vertically, if I lay them flat, the blind holes may print a bit shitty?

I would expect to print 100% infill unless you tell me otherwise?

Sorry, been on vacation for the last week. I'll double check when I get home, but I believe I printed everything "flat". I did solid infill on everything. With the exception of the top and bottom, it's all thin enough that at most you would get a couple layers of infill anyway.

@wpmcnamara I am finally getting to print this mod tonight.
I see hex and holes to secure the bottom to the base, wondering if they come out of the game or if I need to source them.
If I do need to source, can you tell me sizes to find.

Thanks!
Will post pics when I get it installed.
Thanks again.

This is the first job I have used ironing function, man it looks great.

The screws and nuts that hold the bottom to the slanted base have to be sourced. I honestly don't remember the size I used. Likely #6-32 x 3/8", but that's totally a guess.

Got mine printed, beautiful tight fit, I had to press fit the starburst lenses.
last piece on bed now is the black peg front shroud.

As always, great work on the model @wpmcnamara
