So I'm looking to get a new I/O Board for my Naomi system so I can get some Marvel vs Capcom 2 going on in my arcade cabinet. So I've been searching around like crazy to find one, but everyone is selling packaged systems with boards and games.

I found this:

http://www.arcadespareparts.com/arcade_parts/machine_parts/generic_io_board_amplifier/12995.html

and after reading it, it sounds like this is what I need. It looks like it's got the interface for my kick harness, all the connections and the built in amp.

So the question is, has anyone had any experience with this I/O? I guess I'm asking if this is poorly made and could damage my system (I don't see how, but I just want to make sure). Or are these boards known to go bad and you have to buy another down the line?

Your replies are always appreciated.

Thanks

Looks like the Chinese made a bootleg of the Capcom I/O board.

The Capcom I/O doesn't supply enough power to run the NAOMI 2 properly so I have to wonder if they changed it a bit or are just selling it to customers they shouldn't.

I wouldn't trust that, especially if it's providing voltage to an already voltage-sensitive piece of equipment.

the Capcom I/Os turn up on ebay a lot lately it seems.

expect to pay between $120 and $180, usually. they're a fine piece of machinery.... and they hold their value should you go to sell. I'd go that route.

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I was really looking at that board and considering it, but after you pointed that out, I doubt I'll go with it.

I did see one on Ebay but it's listed for $215 with $20 shipping from out of the country. So I'm kind of waiting to see if I can find it someplace else.
