General question for all of you guys that have a store

Is there a simple place where I can go to for a simple shopping cart and check out system. I'd like to put things into a web store and manage that easily.

Thanks for any help pointing me to the right direction. I don't want to pay much money but want an easy way to put something up where people can find and buy stuff.

Depends what language you can support. There are open source shopping carts that you can configure to your site, I believe most of them will be in php. Some hosting sites will even have one-click installs of a couple of these. My hosting environment allows for zen cart, and I believe two others.

To answer you question directly, checkout: Zen Cart, osCommerce or Magento. These were only some I could think of off the top of my head, but there are more out there.

You can use the PayPal shopping cart. That looks relatively easy to implement if you are going to use that form of payment.

I use Squirrelcart for my store. Really nice stuff. I've used Zen cart in the
past. It was decent but took a lot of work to get it how I wanted it.
Squirrelcart just works. Now its not free but its priced reasonably. The guy
who codes it is a member here.

I use CityMax for my web site hosting. They have the full shopping cart that integrates with PayPal Web Payments Pro for taking credit cards and PayPal payments.

They handle all the back end inventory stuff and all I do is periodically add more components to the site and more inventory to a SKU. They handle the forms too such as 'Contact Us' and send me emails every time I get an order.
