OK, I think my last post was too much, so I am going to go one power problem at a time. Below is a quick, terrible drawing of the voltages I need out of three wires. It calls for 9V, 9V, and 18V when tested different ways. Out of the transformer, I have available the same configuration, but 18V, 18V, and 32V. Is there components I can add to step down the voltages half? Any ideas where to find info on this? Thanks.

Using resistors to build voltage divider networks would be posible but you would need to know the output currents of each tap that you will be drawing. If those votages are AC ( as I assume they are ) you could just buy a 18volt center tap transformer and it's secondary would give those exact same outputs.

If you are talking about your LAH that is a French coin door (re-imported pinball), I would verify that the power supply is wired correctly for 110.

Yeah, it is a French coin door, so it was overseas. Theory being that it was setup for overseas with the original transformer, someone brought it back, plugged it in and fried it. The current transformer is running off 110 and producing the voltages it should, according to a schematic for it.

If I added an 18V center tap transformer, I wouldn't need to run a second plug, I can just tap it into the line in, correct? Does it matter amperage? Also, if I need 25V from 2 wires, (as opposed to the three wire combo needed here), is it possible to add that as well? Would that be way too much hacking? Sorry for all the q's, trying to figure out my game plan here.

It seems very crazy to me that there are no data east transformer alternatives, this cant be the first machine to blow a transformer. Very frustrating. Yay projects!

Yes you could just tap the primary side of the new transformer (s) into the AC feed of the existing main trans. The current draw from the added trans. should not be so much as to cause a problem with the main fuse.

After I found the 18V transformer, I found a used Data East transformer, got it today (still haven't received the other transformer) and it works perfectly. SO i didn't have to f around.
