So when it comes to interchanging monitors I'm still uncertain of a few things. There are two hookups in the back of the monitor's, a 6 pin like this:
That plugs into the monitor here:
Now sometimes I see different connectors, the other common one is a 6 pin molex. I'm assuming in cases like this just matching the colors should suffice if the monitor was wired properly? The same six colors are always present on most of the monitors I have so it would simply be matching them up? This seems pretty standard across all the monitors I've seen.
But when it comes to the second connector coming off the monitor for power some are like this:
But I have also I noticed some monitors only have a two pin molex coming off the back. The green/yellow wire is not present and is grounded directly to the frame, what do I do in this situation? In those situations the only two wires I see are both black. What do I do here?
